Feedex Companies L.L.C. was founded in April 2012.
Bill Frazier worked with the livestock industry for more than 20 years and saw firsthand the problems that existed in traditional feed production. As a visionary, he thought there was a better way to make animal feed. His partner, Larry Doskocil, who had lifelong experience in the food business, agreed.
The company leased and later bought its 43,000-square-foot building, which is located on three acres in Yoder, Kansas. Conventional feeds were built for two years. In July 2014, the plant was converted to a livestock feed facility.
Our innovative team of nutritional and engineering professionals tackled the problem of inconsistent animal feed products. By using new technology, we designed a Horizontal Steam Conditioner that steam-flakes grain through an exclusive steam process.
This new technology results in a higher starch yield compared with other old traditional steam conditioners. As a result, livestock will yield a larger weight gain per pound of food in comparison with competitors’ feed. Therefore, this higher starch yield produces a higher quality of livestock feed. With such high nutritional content, daily animal efficiencies can be improved by as much as 20 percent.
